Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) also known as tapping, is a form of energy psychology or psychological acupressure that has been used for more than three decades to help individuals overcome a variety of emotional and physical issues. It is a safe, gentle, non-invasive way to release stored traumas from the nervous system that is directly linked to the energy system. EFT is based on the idea that negative emotions and physical pain can be caused by unprocessed issues that create disruptions in the body's energy system and nervous system, and that tapping on specific meridian points can help restore, balance and alleviate these issues.
EFT helps to reset the body's energy system and promote healing by releasing stuck or blocked energy from the nervous system. Tapping on the meridian points while talking about the core issue at hand stimulates the body's own healing mechanisms, creating new neural pathways leading to improved emotional and physical well-being.
